Rutgers Advocacy Corps
Each year, the Office of Federal Relations connects a group of Rutgers students with federal policymakers to advocate for policy priorities important to the university community. Students will travel to Washington, DC for a day of advocacy on Capitol Hill this year. Federal investments in student financial aid will be the primary area of focus.
Applicants chosen for the 2025 Rutgers Advocacy Corps will join us for a full day in Washington, DC on Tuesday, April 29, with travel and meal expenses covered by the Office of Federal Relations. They will also be required to attend a virtual orientation on Friday, March 28, and an in-person briefing luncheon on the New Brunswick campus on Friday, April 11. In addition to participating in advocacy meetings with Members of Congress and their staff, Rutgers Advocacy Corps members will have the opportunity to engage with Rutgers alumni working on Capitol Hill.
Applications for Rutgers Advocacy Corps are due by 11:59 PM on Sunday, February 9.

Submit a Video to the Democracy Lab
We want to hear your thoughts about democracy!
The Rutgers Democracy Lab is seeking students to submit their videos exploring the topic of American democracy and civic engagement in the digital age. The videos will be shared on the Eagleton Institute’s Instagram page as part of an effort to inspire meaningful conversations on and off campus about civic engagement.
The style of the video is up to you, from spontaneous “On the Street” style interviews to “Get Ready With Me” tutorials that weave in important topics in political and social discourse.
