Program Coordinator

Bio

Carly McCrae is a Program Coordinator for the Rutgers Democracy Lab (RDL). She assists the Chief Operating Officer in developing, growing, and assessing various RDL programs and initiatives. In this role, she connects students, faculty, and staff to relevant RDL programming that can enhance their experiences as members of a vibrant, democratic community. 

Carly holds a dual B.A. in History and Political Science from Rutgers University and is in progress of her M.Ed from Rutgers Graduate School of Education. Before joining RDL, Carly served as the Program Coordinator for Rutgers Office of Summer and Winter Sessions, managing the Summer Scholars Program and other initiatives in the Pre-College space. She is passionate about civic and educational equity, youth empowerment, and fostering meaningful relationships with the students and communities she supports in her work. As she pursues her M.Ed, Carly looks forward to researching and publishing academic literature on the democratic underpinnings of the American educational system – and what these foundations may implicate for the future of our educational landscape.
