The Faculty and Staff Democracy in Action Fund supports innovative, interactive civic opportunities that engage participants in practicing democracy on campus or in the community. Applications are now open for the 2026-2027 Academic Year and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until available funding is exhausted.

The Faculty and Staff Democracy Fellowship supports Rutgers faculty and staff who wish to develop, pilot, or scale innovative projects that strengthen democratic culture, practice, and knowledge. Applications are now closed for the 2026-2027 cohort.
As part of Rutgers University's recognition of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, RDL is partnering with the Office of Undergraduate Education to offer a series of Byrne Seminars that provide students with opportunities to explore the history and ongoing significance of democracy and civic engagement.
