RDL Using Tech for Social Good Panel

This event will explore the convergence of tech and policy, welcoming guest speakers from Network Contagion Lab (NC Lab).

The head of Network Contagion Lab, Joel Finkelstein, will be a panelist along with Rutgers alumna and former NC Labs intern Prasiddha Sudhakar. One current Rutgers student who is interning at NC Lab will also be present to share his experiences.

As they mark the completion of their project for the Cyber-Civics Initiative at Rutgers, NC Lab will share recent findings from social media, disinformation, and misinformation tracking. There will be a moderated discussion about how technology can be harnessed to safeguard communities, prevent online threats, and shape public policy. Panelists will also discuss experiences with careers in tech.

There will be an opportunity for audience Q & A. Following the discussion will be light refreshments and lunch for networking.
